Golf Course Maintenance – Part Time

Putnam County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Golf Course Maintenance – Part Time.

This position is responsible for helping to maintain the Uncle Remus Golf Course under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent. The various responsibilities include but are not limited to mowing short grass areas, mowing rough, blowing leaves and debris, line trimming, edging, blowing, digging, shoveling, spreading pine straw and mulch, and any other tasks that may be required. This position will necessitate the use of large and small mowers, golf cars, and hand operated power tools such as line trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and edgers.

Minimum qualifications include a valid Georgia driver’s license, good attitude, willingness to learn, and self-motivation. Applicants must have the ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift at least 50 pounds, and must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Applicants must also be able to work in various outdoor conditions including heat, sun, rain, and wind. Scheduling for this position includes weekends and holidays.
