Planning and Zoning Commission

The duties of the Planning & Zoning Commission are to hear and make recommendations on matters to the Board of Commissioners such as:

• zoning map amendments,
• conditional use permits, and
• text amendments;

to hear and make administrative decisions on matters such as building setback variances; and to exercise any other powers and authority delegated to it by the Board of Commissioners, the Development Ordinance, or State law.  

Term

Members are appointed by the Board of Commissioners (one from each district and an at-large chair) and serve 2-year terms.
