RE: STRUCTURE FIRE

(Putnam County, Ga., January 20, 2015) – Putnam County firefighters were dispatched to a possible house fire just after 3:00pm Tuesday afternoon on S Steel Bridge Rd when a Quesenberry Rd resident noticed smoke coming from a home across the cove. On arrival, crews found an unoccupied single-family lake home with smoke showing from the eves. Fire crews stopped fire progression and contained fire damage to the attic and roof area of the home. There was smoke and water damaged throughout the home.
No occupant or PCFR Staff injuries reported as a result of the fire.
PCFR had 6 apparatus & 12 personnel respond. Mutual Aid was received from Baldwin County Fire Rescue, Putnam EMS, PCSO & GA Fire Marshals Office.
The origin of the fire was found to be in the attic and cause determination is underway.
