From the Sinclair Water Authority:

In accordance with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD), the Sinclair Water Authority (Authority) is hereby notifying each County Water Agency that Phase I drought conditions are now in effect.

Under a Level 1 Drought Response, the outdoor water use schedule required under the Water Stewardship Act of 2010 remains in place, and the schedule allows outdoor water use year-round between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. A Level 1 Drought Response does not trigger any water mandates or bans; it is a public information campaign to request end-users be aware and voluntarily reduce their water consumption.

The Authority will notify each Public Water Agency in writing when drought conditions change  and what additional  water conservation  measures may be required if conditions  worsen.
