Chairman Retires

Chairman Billy Webster chaired his last meeting of the Putnam County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, December 20, 2022.  He will be truly missed!  He was honored with the following proclamation:

Proclamation

Whereas, Billy Webster was elected Chairman of the Board of Commissioners in November 2018 and served in this position for four years, from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2022; and

Whereas, Billy Webster previously served twelve years as Commissioner with Putnam County from January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2016, serving the District Four area of Putnam County and as Vice Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for eight years, from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2016; and

Whereas, Billy Webster completed 48 hours of training for the ACCG Commissioner Training Program on September 26, 2005; and

Whereas, Billy Webster completed 42 hours of training for the ACCG Certified Commissioner Advanced Program on June 9, 2006; and

Whereas, Billy Webster completed 48 hours of training for the ACCG Lifelong Learning Academy Specialty Track of County Operations and Management on April 23, 2021; and

Whereas, Billy Webster has faithfully served Putnam County and its citizens with dedication and professionalism for sixteen years; and

Whereas, the services Billy Webster rendered as Chairman and County Commissioner were appreciated by fellow Commissioners, staff members, and the citizens of Putnam County; and

Whereas, the Board of Commissioners and staff wish to thank Mr. Webster for his services to Putnam County and its citizens.

Now, therefore be it proclaimed that the Board of Commissioners of Putnam County does hereby commend and congratulate Mr. Billy Webster on his public service as the Chairman of the Putnam County Board of Commissioners.
